Experimenting with form and movement, I carried out a number of different trials by creating various three dimensional kinetic textile structures, and tweaking the tempo of the expansions and contractions within the surface - thus giving each form a distinct character and emotion. The varied experiments were carried out to not only bring in a sense of life and movement on the material forms, but to also anthropomorphize them.

The following experiments are based on the idea of Biophilia, which is a hypothesis that we as humans have an innate urge to affiliate with other forms of life. The project investigates how this biophilic affiliation could be introduced on to our everyday material environments - helping create empathetic and considered material experiences.
